Pot House Hamlet
Walk down the ancient wagon way alongside Silkstone Beck and feed the ducks. Bring a picnic to have on the table under the oak trees. Have coffee, a snack, a meal, or even a champagne tea for two at the Potting Shed Café. Alternatively, treat yourself from the ice cream parlour. See where the old water wheel used to be. Conisborough castle
A wooden Norman structure replaced with a unique 90 foot 1180-90 keep. This is cylindrical in shape and has 6 strengthening buttresses. It fell into decay in the 15th century but the keep and part of the walls still stand.

Elsecar Heritage Centre
Set in the attractive conservation village of Elsecar, Elsecar Heritage Centre is located within the former ironworks and colliery workshops of the Earl Fitzwilliam. Restored historical buildings now house an antique centre, individual craft workshops, and exhibitions of Elsecar's past. Elsecar Heritage Centre is also the ideal location to access the Trans Pennine Trail.
